Many purchases of sheet metal parts still work as they did 30 years ago: a PDF drawing by email, three days waiting for the quotation, follow-up questions because the project is already pressing. This friction bothered us just as much as our customers. That is why our shop calculates the price directly from your CAD file. Problem ## The problem: the quotation takes longer than production A laser part is often cut in minutes. The quotation for it, however, takes days: someone opens the drawing, measures, calculates, writes an email. If a dimension is missing, the round starts again. For you this means: you wait for a number before you can even decide. And the project waits too. Cause ## The cause: people re-enter data that is already in the file Contour, holes, bends, material thickness: everything that determines the price is already in your CAD file. In the classic process, a person reads this data and types it in again. This costs time and creates errors. **Remember:** The file already contains everything needed for the price. Someone just has to read it directly. Solution ## The solution: upload the file, get the price instantly, order online On mvg-frankfurt.de you upload your file and see the price after a few seconds. Today the price is fixed as soon as you upload. - Formats: STEP (.step, .stp) for 3D parts, including bent parts. DXF, AI and EPS for flat laser parts. - Manufacturability: the shop checks hole diameters, webs, distances to the bend and the size immediately. In practice ## How to get the most out of it A few tips so that the price comes immediately. The shop generates this drawing itself: bolt-circle flange made of aluminium AlMg3, 3 mm, Ø 200 mm, 6 holes Ø 9 mm. Price for 1 piece on 7 November 2026: €35.63 net, €42.40 gross. - Save the file in millimetres and export only the part, without frame and title block. - For DXF, state the sheet thickness. For STEP, the shop reads it from the file. - Parts with a block in the check get no instant price.
