E-Cu is copper of conductor quality. Busbars, earthing strips and contact parts are made from it, because no other economical material conducts electricity and heat as well. When soft it bends excellently; cold forming makes it stronger and more brittle.

## Properties

- Electrical conductivity approx. 58 m/(Ω·mm²), 100 % IACS
- Very good thermal conductivity, approx. 390 W/(m·K)
- Soft: excellent bendability, hard: considerably stronger
- Very easy to solder, good weldability
- Forms a protective patina in air

## Processing notes

Copper smears during machining and tends to clog the saw blade: generous tooth pitch, plenty of cooling. For busbars, brush the contact faces bright before assembly.
