Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use our website and online shop. This statement applies to the website of MVG Metallverkaufsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG including shop, configurators, basket, checkout and customer account.
Our service
On the website you order semi-finished products (tubes, bars, profiles), sheet metal blanks, bent parts and perforated sheets made to measure. You choose material, dimensions and quantity, see the price instantly and complete the order in the basket. We also accept enquiries by email.
Compliance status
The benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and the harmonised standard EN 301 549. With these requirements, the website is partially compliant. The known limitations are listed below.
What already works well
- Text can be enlarged to 200 %; from a width of 320 px the page adapts without horizontal scrolling.
- Light and dark colour scheme with sufficient contrast.
- Navigation, forms, basket and checkout can be operated by keyboard; a skip link leads directly to the content.
- Form fields have labels; images have alternative texts.
- The usage analytics question has two equivalent buttons and can be changed at any time in the footer.
Known limitations
- Drawing areas of the configurators: The bent part configurator and part designer are built for mouse and touch. They can only be operated to a limited extent with keyboard and screen reader. Alternative: send us a sketch or dimensions by email; we will prepare a quotation for you.
- 3D view (STEP viewer): The model is a graphic without an equivalent text version. Dimensions and price are also shown as text in the basket.
- PDF documents: Data sheets and documents (quotation, invoice) have not yet been checked for accessibility (PDF/UA).
- Usage analytics bar: On small screens it can cover content at the bottom until you make a choice.
- We do not currently offer content in easy-to-read language or sign language.
We are working on fixing these points and will then update this statement.
Preparation of this statement
Prepared on 11 October 2026. Method: self-assessment. We checked the home page, sheet overview, material page, applications, cut-to-size and bent part configurators, basket, checkout, customer account login and the dialogs in the footer. We used automated checks (axe-core) in the light and dark colour schemes as well as manual checks of keyboard operation, focus, zoom and reflow at 320 px. A test with screen readers and an assessment by an independent body are still pending.

Enforcement procedure
Under the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), compliance with the requirements is monitored by the Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) It is the joint authority of all 16 federal states and therefore also responsible for Hesse. Consumers can submit an application or report a barrier there under section 32 BFSG.
