Four ways to MVG

Where would you like to start?

Your interest is a good starting point.

Trading since 1876. Questions of today.

What does metal trading have to do with your studies?

A component needs the right geometry. A quotation needs good data. And a digital ordering process must be easy to understand. At MVG these tasks come together.

Whether you bring technical, commercial or digital interests: together we look at whether a suitable task can come out of it.

A good start needs clarity

How we get together.

1

You tell us about yourself

Your interests, your time frame and a few sentences about your background. An email is enough for the first contact.

2

We take a look together

Which tasks fit? What would you like to learn? What opportunities are there in the company right now?

3

Agree on the framework

Before you start, we clarify tasks, contact person, working time model and pay. For theses also the topic and data access.

What you might still want to know.

Can I start without experience in metal trading?

Career changers are welcome in our sales positions. What counts is interest in our products, enjoying contact with customers and willingness to learn. Tell us what experience you bring.

Does a speculative application make sense?

Yes. Write to bewerbung@mvg-frankfurt.de which area interests you and when you could start. We will check whether a suitable task is possible.

I am still unsure which area suits me.

Write to us about what interests you and what you would like to try out. You do not need a finished career plan for a first conversation.

Can I bring my own idea for a thesis?

Yes. Describe your idea, your degree programme and the planned period. Together we check the practical relevance and the possibility of supervision. Academic coordination takes place with your university.

Do I need to write a cover letter or make an application video?

A few sentences by email are enough for the first contact. A CV is optional. A video application is not required.

How are working hours, pay and supervision arranged?

That depends on the type of position and the specific task. We clarify these points personally before an agreement. Feel free to tell us your available times and your university’s requirements.
