How precisely do we manufacture, how do we inspect your part, and on which machines? Here it is, short and without marketing speak.
Tolerances: our manufacturing standard
Our machines achieve these values as a rule. The press brake measures the angle while bending and corrects it automatically; the typical angle deviation is ± 0.3°.
What applies contractually: Unless agreed otherwise, the general tolerances in section 5 of our terms. apply. If you need tighter or expressly guaranteed tolerances, note this in the remarks before ordering or ask us. Different terms agreed in the order confirmation take precedence. Inspection process
- Manufacturability check when you order. The configurator checks every part against our rules: hole size, webs, edge distances, flanges, radii, bend length and threads. Notes appear directly on the part before you order. The rules are public under Design rules.
- Review request for borderline cases. If your part is at a limit or a file cannot be checked automatically, send a review request. A member of our team looks at the part and gets back to you with a solution or a price.
- Angle measurement on the press brake (ACB). While bending, the CNC press brake measures the angle and compensates for variations in the sheet. The angle stays the same across a series.
Inspection certificate 3.1 (EN 10204)
For the starting material you receive an inspection certificate 3.1 to EN 10204 if we have it for the selected material. The basket then shows the option to include the inspection certificate 3.1. It costs €15.00 net per order, even with several items. If the option is not in the basket, please ask us before ordering via the Contact page.
