When will my part be ready? The answer does not depend on the fastest part in the basket but on the whole order. Here you can read which rules our shop applies – the same rules it uses to show you a date before you order.

Problem

The problem: you need a date, not a range

A part is missing in assembly, the site is waiting. Then “3 to 10 working days” does not help; what counts is a day you can plan for.

That is why the basket and checkout show a specific date for each level: when the order is ready for dispatch or collection, and when a parcel or pallet is expected to arrive with you.

Cause

The cause: five things determine the date

A plain cut-to-size part runs through one machine. A bent laser part with threads runs through three. Each operation needs a slot in the plan. These factors decide:

  • Processing: a plain cut-to-size part – sheet without bends, or a sawn standard profile – can be ready for dispatch on the next working day with Express 24 h. As soon as a part is bent, ordered as a laser part in the part designer or from a file, or deburred, the selected delivery time level applies.
  • Material: Express 24 h applies to sheets from our range without a hole pattern and to standard profiles such as flat and round bars, tubes, angles and channels. We make perforated sheets in the normal levels. Semi-finished products, profiles and accessories use the same levels as sheets.
  • Quantity: Express 24 h applies up to 10 pieces per item. The basket shows whether an item qualifies.
  • Additional services: threads and countersinks do not change the delivery time – only with more than 200 threads per order do we plan 2 extra working days. However, an order with threads never runs in Express 24 h.
  • Order cut-off: orders Monday to Friday by 12:00 count from the same day; for Express 24 h the cut-off is 12:00. Later orders count from the next working day. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Hesse and company holidays.

Remember: The date applies to the whole order. A single bent part in the basket determines the date of all items.

Solution

The solution: choose a level, see the date before you buy

You choose the level in the basket. The shop calculates the date from the order time, working days and level – you see it before you order.

OptionReady for dispatch or collectionWhen
Express2 working daysfor a surcharge; if capacity is full, the basket shows the option as “currently fully booked”
Express 24 hon the next working day (ordered by 12:00)cut-to-size parts only, up to 10 pieces per item; with its own surcharge
Standard5 working daysfor all parts, including semi-finished products and profiles; orders placed by 12:00 count the same day
Economy10 working dayswith a discount on the goods value, for orders without hurry

Shop rules as of October 2026. You see the surcharge and discount in the basket. Transit time follows: parcel 1 to 2 working days, pallet 2 to 3 working days; none for collection in Frankfurt.

In practice

How to get your parts sooner

These levers are in your hands.

  • Order early: by 12:00 for Express 24 h, by 12:00 for all other levels.
  • Order cut-to-size parts separately: if you need plain cut-to-size parts immediately and bent parts later, a separate order for the cut-to-size parts can be ready for dispatch on the next working day with Express 24 h. Bear in mind the second shipping charge.
  • Collect: in Frankfurt there is no shipping transit time. You receive an email as soon as the order is ready for collection.
  • Design for manufacture: a part that passes the check without a block gets a price and a date immediately. Manual pricing takes up to one working day. The limits are in the design guidelines.
  • Plan for many threads: with more than 200 threads per order, allow 2 extra working days.

At a glance

  • Only plain cut-to-size parts, at most 10 pieces per item? Then Express 24 h is possible.
  • Order by 12:00 on a working day
  • Level chosen in the basket and date checked
  • Collection instead of shipping when it is urgent

Frequently asked questions

Does Express 24 h also apply to bent parts?

No. It only applies to plain cut-to-size parts: sheet without bends and without further processing, and sawn standard profiles, up to 10 pieces per item. You order bent parts in Standard, Express (2 working days) or Economy.

I order a sheet metal cut-to-size part after the cut-off. When is it ready for dispatch?

For Express 24 h, the day no longer counts from 12:00. With Express 24 h your part is then ready for dispatch on the second working day. You see the exact date in the basket.

Why is Express sometimes greyed out?

Express needs free capacity. When it is taken, the basket shows the level as “currently fully booked”. Standard and Economy remain available.

Do Saturdays and public holidays count?

No. We count Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Hesse and company holidays.

How long does shipping take after the date?

The date is the day on which your order is ready for dispatch or collection. After that, a parcel usually takes 1 to 2 working days, a pallet 2 to 3 working days.
