AlCuMgPb is made for machining. The lead content breaks the chip short, so turning, milling and drilling run at high cutting speeds with a clean surface. The price is lower corrosion resistance and no weldability.

Properties
- Tensile strength approx. 370 N/mm², yield strength approx. 250 N/mm²
- Very good machinability, short-breaking chips
- Not suitable for welding
- Not suitable for decorative anodising (the layer becomes patchy)
- Outdoors only with a coating

- Components with many threads and holes
Processing notes
Cutting produces short, crumbly chips and the material is pleasant to saw. For visible parts outdoors, choose a different alloy or plan a coating.
