How to read the tables
- Smallest flange: shortest flange length, measured outside, determined on our press brake per die. From this value the flange rests securely on the tool.
- Inside radius: the radius that our press brake produces at this sheet thickness with the standard tool on a right-angled bend, measured per die. With thin sheet it is usually larger than the sheet thickness. Calculate your flat pattern with this radius.
- Hole to bend edge: smallest distance from the hole edge to the bend edge. With less distance, the hole distorts during bending.
- Longest bend: largest length of a bend edge. With thick sheet the press force limits the length. “Acute angle” means: inside angle below 88°.
- Hem: Sheet fully pressed together (hem), possible up to 2 mm sheet thickness.
- Smallest hole, web, edge distance: from the smallest value we manufacture your part, from the recommended value without restriction.
