Show the angle unambiguously
Draw both profile ends and mark what the angle refers to. An angle to the longitudinal axis is not the same as a deviation from the square cut. A sketch showing the reference is clearer than an angle figure without comment.
Long dimension, short dimension or axis dimension?
A profile cut at an angle has edges of different lengths. Mark the edge your length dimension refers to. With two mitres, also show whether the cuts run parallel or in opposite directions.
Add cross-section and orientation
State the material, profile cross-section, wall thickness and quantity. For rectangular tubes and asymmetric profiles, it matters which side is at the top in the sketch. Mark parts of a frame that belong together.
Request special cuts specifically
Send the sketch with the details to MVG. Whether the desired angle and cross-section can be processed is checked on the specific order. A price for a straight standard cut does not automatically apply to mitre cutting.
