RV 3-5 means: round holes 3 mm in diameter, staggered, 5 mm from hole centre to hole centre. A 2 mm web remains between the holes; about 32.7 % of the area is open. Among our stainless steel 1.4301 perforated sheets, RV 3-5 has the smallest open area. The base material is 1.4301, the most widely used stainless steel. It resists water, steam and many acids and lasts practically indefinitely indoors, and outdoors too away from sea air and de-icing salt.
