What does 2/3.5 mm mean?
The first number describes the base sheet thickness, the second the total thickness including the raised pattern. Both values matter for your design: the base thickness affects processing, the total thickness, for example, the available installation space. The values depend on the item.
Compare the pattern visually
DUETT and other chequer patterns differ in the arrangement of their raised elements. Compare the product images and the designation of the item offered. A close-up photo with a scale helps you judge the size of the pattern.
Plan the visible side and the bend together
Decide before bending on which side the pattern should remain visible. For connected components, the orientation of the pattern also matters. Mark the visible side in the drawing or enquiry.
Do not infer suitability from the pattern
A textured surface alone is no proof of a particular slip resistance or load-bearing capacity. For walkable, load-bearing or safety-relevant applications, the required properties must be verified separately.
