Material
Copper is chosen for two very different reasons: for its electrical and thermal conductivity or for its appearance. SF-Cu is oxygen-free and phosphorus-deoxidised and therefore easy to solder and weld: the usual grade for sheet metal work.
Key data
| Designation | SF-Cu / Cu-DHP (CW024A) |
|---|---|
| Density | 8.96 kg/dm³ |
| Thicknesses | 0.5, 0.8, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5 mm |
| Surface finish | Bright from the mill, it darkens within weeks. If you want to keep it as new, apply clear lacquer; if you want the patina, leave it untreated. |
Tolerances
We cut rectangular blanks on the guillotine shear. DIN ISO 2768-m applies to length and width; the cut edge is sheared, and a slight roll-over and a burr are normal in production. Details: Tolerances.
