Identical in material to 1.4301, but bright-annealed: the 2R surface is highly glossy and clearly reflective. As a stainless steel mirror, the sheet is shatterproof and does not splinter. That makes it ideal for playgrounds, children's rooms, sports halls and wherever glass is too dangerous.

Surface finish
Mirror finish on one side with protective film. A stainless steel mirror reflects clearly but shows the image a little softer than a glass mirror. Bond it over a large area to a flat board so that the reflection stays steady. Only peel off the film after installation.

Bending up to 3 mm is possible; the protective film stays on the sheet. Put the mirror side on the outside.

Cutting methods and tolerances
We cut rectangular blanks on the guillotine shear. DIN ISO 2768-m applies to length and width; the cut edge is sheared, and a slight roll-over and a burr are normal in production. We laser-cut parts with cut-outs, holes or free contours.

Questions
Is 1.4301 V2A or AISI 304?
Yes. 1.4301 (V2A) corresponds to AISI 304. Sheet to EN 10088-2.
Which surfaces are available online?
2B, brushed K240, 2R with film. Further versions on quotation in the Sheet metal range.
Is an inspection certificate 3.1 available?
Yes, if a certificate to EN 10204 is on file for the material: as an option in the basket, €15 net per order.
Why is there lettering on my stainless steel part?
Stainless steel sheets carry a mill marking with material and heat number. This is normal and links your part to the inspection certificate. The rolling mill determines where the marking sits on the sheet. Deburring or grinding weakens it, but it may still show through. You can remove the marking without residue using cellulose thinner and a clean cloth.
